Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 15, 2026
These are the terms you agree to when you use Rackd. We tried to make them readable. If something is unclear, email us at support@rackd.fitness and we'll explain it.
1. Who You're Agreeing With
Rackd is operated by HADI Technology ("we", "us"), a business based in Ontario, Canada. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you") and HADI Technology.
By installing the Rackd mobile app or using the rackd.fitness website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. What Rackd Is
Rackd is a workout tracking app for strength athletes. It helps you follow structured training programs, log your lifts, and see your progress over time.
The Service includes:
- The Rackd mobile app (iOS and Android)
- The rackd.fitness website
- Any related services we provide from time to time
The Service does not include the training programs themselves — you are responsible for choosing and following a program that's appropriate for you (see Section 10: Fitness and Health Disclaimer).
3. Beta Program Terms
During the Rackd beta, the following terms apply. They override any conflicting terms elsewhere in this agreement for as long as the Service is in beta.
It's Pre-Release Software
The beta version of Rackd is a work in progress. That means:
- Features may change, be added, be removed, or stop working
- Bugs are expected. We'll fix them as we find them, but things may break
- We may reset data, require reinstalls, or ship updates that change behavior
- Performance and reliability are not guaranteed
If you need a rock-solid, production-ready workout tracker right now, the beta probably isn't the right fit. We'll let you know when we think the app is ready for prime time.
Feedback
You're welcome to send us feedback — bug reports, feature requests, thoughts on the experience. Any feedback you submit is yours: we don't take ownership of it. But by sending feedback, you give HADI Technology a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use the feedback to improve the Service or in any other lawful way. You won't be compensated for feedback unless we specifically agree otherwise in writing.
No Uptime Guarantee
We may take the Service offline for maintenance, debugging, or any other reason during beta. We'll try to give notice when possible but are not required to.
Beta May End
The beta will end at some point. When it does, we'll transition to a full release. Your beta access may be converted to an early-access/trial status in the full release, or it may simply end. We'll communicate what happens before it happens.
No Fees During Beta
Paid features are disabled during the beta. All functionality is free. Once the beta ends, paid features may become available (see Section 8: Purchases).
4. Your Account
Beta users do not need an account to use the Rackd mobile app. Your workout data lives on your device.
Once Cloud Sync becomes available (post-beta), you may create an account using email + password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. When you do:
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure
- You're responsible for activity under your account
- You must provide accurate information
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the age required in your jurisdiction)
- One account per person. No sharing, no selling.
If we have reason to believe your account has been compromised, we may suspend access until we can verify it's yours.
5. Your Workout Data
Your workout data is yours. You own what you put into Rackd.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your workout data only to the extent needed to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of it, we do not share it with third parties (except as described in the Privacy Policy), and we do not use it to train AI models.
Local-first means: the primary copy of your workout data lives on your device. If you delete the app, your local data is gone. If you've enabled Cloud Sync (post-beta), a synced copy exists on our servers — which you can delete from your account.
Your custom exercises and custom programs: you own these. We do not republish them without your permission.
6. Acceptable Use
Use Rackd for its intended purpose. Don't:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except to the extent the law permits despite this restriction
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any technical protections
- Scrape, crawl, or automate access to the Service without our written permission
- Use the Service to transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm other users (once social features exist, if ever)
- Resell, redistribute, or commercialize the Service without our agreement
- Use the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure (such as automated rapid-fire API calls)
If you violate these rules, we can suspend or terminate your access without notice.
7. Our Intellectual Property
The Rackd name, logo, app, website, design, source code, and the curated training programs we ship with the app (5/3/1 implementation, 5x5 Strength, PPL, Upper/Lower, and the others) are owned by HADI Technology or our licensors.
You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service as described in these Terms. That's it. No other rights are granted.
Traditional strength training program structures themselves (like the 5/3/1 method itself, or standard 5x5 progression) are not our IP — we implement them. The names of their creators (like Jim Wendler for 5/3/1) are their own trademarks. We do not claim ownership over their methodologies.
8. Purchases (Post-Beta)
These purchase-related terms apply only after the beta ends and the paid features become available. During the beta, all features are free.
One-Time Purchases
Rackd offers one-time purchases (Full Rack, Power Rack, Cloud Sync, Super Rack bundle). Once purchased, these are yours to keep — no recurring fees.
Subscriptions (Optional)
Rackd also offers an optional subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks all features while active. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
Payment Processing
Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android). We do not handle your payment information directly. Apple's and Google's terms, policies, and refund rules apply to purchases made through their platforms.
Refunds
- Through Apple or Google: request a refund via their standard refund channels. Whether you get one is up to them.
- From us directly: we do not process direct refunds. However, if you've been charged in error or have a legitimate complaint, email us at support@rackd.fitness and we'll see what we can do.
Price Changes
We may change prices for new purchases at any time. Price changes do not affect already-completed one-time purchases (which are yours forever). For active subscriptions, we'll give at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect.
9. Third-Party Services
Rackd depends on services provided by third parties, including Apple, Google, Supabase, PostHog, and Cloudflare. Their terms and policies apply to your interactions with their services. We're not responsible for changes they make that affect Rackd (like Apple changing iOS SDK requirements, or Google changing Play Billing rules).
10. Fitness and Health Disclaimer
Rackd is a tracking tool, not a coach. Nothing in Rackd is medical or professional fitness advice.
- Consult a qualified medical professional before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have health conditions, are pregnant, or are recovering from injury
- The programs Rackd ships with are general-purpose templates. They're not designed for you specifically
- Lifting heavy things carries risk. Use proper form, warm up appropriately, know your limits
- If something hurts, stop
- We are not responsible for any injury, strain, or medical condition arising from your use of Rackd
Use common sense. If you're not sure, ask a qualified coach, trainer, or doctor.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations
- Any data stored on the Service will be preserved indefinitely
- The Service will be compatible with every device or OS version
This disclaimer applies during beta and after launch, except where applicable law does not allow such disclaimers, in which case our warranty is limited to the minimum required by law.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HADI Technology is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service. This includes lost profits, lost data, lost business opportunities, and similar damages, whether under contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility.
To the extent our liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service is limited to the greater of:
- The amount you have paid us for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or
- 100 Canadian dollars (CAD $100)
if you are a beta user or free user, in which case the CAD $100 cap applies.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations above. If you're in one of those places, the limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HADI Technology and its directors, employees, and contractors from any claim, demand, loss, or liability (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:
- Your breach of these Terms
- Your misuse of the Service
- Your violation of any law or third-party right
- Content you submit to the Service (if applicable)
14. Termination
By You
You can stop using Rackd at any time by uninstalling the app (for the mobile app) or closing your browser (for the website). If you have an account (post-beta), you can delete it from the app settings.
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service:
- If you breach these Terms
- If your use creates a security risk or significantly degrades the Service for others
- If we're required to by law
- If we stop providing the Service entirely (we'll give reasonable notice in this case)
What Survives Termination
Sections 5 (Your Workout Data, as regards our license and ownership claims), 7 (Our IP), 11 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Indemnification), 16 (Governing Law and Disputes), and this Section 14 survive termination.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:
- The "Last Updated" date at the top will change
- For material changes, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice via the app and/or email
- Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the new Terms
If you disagree with the new Terms, stop using the Service before they take effect.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Service will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
Both parties waive the right to a jury trial to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in this Section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
17. Miscellaneous
Severability. If any part of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the rest continues in force.
No Waiver. If we don't enforce a right or provision, that doesn't mean we've waived it.
Assignment. You can't assign these Terms without our consent. We can assign them freely (for example, as part of a corporate restructuring).
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the complete agreement between you and us regarding the Service. They supersede any earlier agreements or understandings.
No Agency. Using Rackd does not make you our employee, agent, or partner, and it does not make us yours.
Notices. We may send notices to you via the app, by email (if you've provided one), or by posting on the rackd.fitness website. You can send us notices at support@rackd.fitness.
